"I met Moonshine on a brisk November day in the middle of a pasture full of horses.
The entire herd came running when they heard the truck pull into the field. The more
curious ones were climbing the running boards of our Tahoe to get a closer look at
us. Moonshine had a young lanky body full of angles and legs. He was beautiful to
watch as he ran with his tail up and floating on the wind behind him. He parked out
and let me climb aboard. But it was his pesonality and character that sold me from
the start. He seemed to know how much I needed him as he draped his head over my
shoulder and rested his nose on my heart. This young horse spoke volumes to me.
We've been together for almost two years now. Moonshine has grown into his tall
frame. He is strong and his feet are good. He always comes when I call his name,
even when he is with his best horse buddy in the farthest corner of the field. He
likes to go but always listens when I tell him to slow
down or stop. He cues on the slightest touch of leg or rein. He is gentle and
patient with children. He is curious and courageous and likes to please. I could
not have asked for a more well-trained or kinder horse. When we are ready for a
second horse, we will come back to Tennessee to see who Sandra and Oscar have for
waiting for me!"
